The Palace x New Balance 991 ”Taos Taupe/Black/Grape Juice” is a collaboration by the London-based skate brand on a colorway of the lifestyle shoe with a hiking boot-inspired look. The follow-up to Palace’s collaboration with New Balance on the 580 model in 2022, the New Balance 991 “Taos Taupe/Black/Grape Juice” features a decidedly early 1990s-esque design that riffs on classic hiking shoe aesthetics. More specifically, the shoe features a teal ripstop base with tan suede overlays on the mid-panel and brown suede overlays on the toe and heel. Purple leather overlays land on the toe and collar while a purple “N” logo is seen on the side. “Palace” and “New Balance” branding is found on the tongue and “Pal” and “Ace” branding is split on the left and right shoe’s heels.
